This Micro Hydro system is d. Esigned for high head systems of 100 feet or more, and a flow of at least 120 gallons per minute, to provide 600 watts of continuous power at 12 V, 1200 watts at 24 v. The generator is designed for 50 amps maximum, It is a totally enclosed generator, with a Permanent Magnet Rotor, and it is 92% efficient. The output is 3-phase AC, which can be converted to DC with the use of an external 3-phase full wave bridge rectifier. Note that the Rectifier does not come with this listing. At 50 amps and 12 VDC, you can reach 600 watts if you have enough water flow and head height. The generator has sealed ball bearings designed for 30,000 hours of use at full load. This unit can be connected directly to your existing solar or wind power battery bank. If you are building a new power system, then you may need the following items listed below. 1 3-phase full wave bridge rectifier. 2 A 12 VDC deep cycle battery and fuse or breaker. 3 A Charge Controller and Dump Load to prevent your batteries from an over-charge situation.

4 A 12 VDC to 120 VAC Inverter if you want to run standard appliances. The generator will spin at approximately 1500 rpm to generate the required power to charge your battery. There is a Ball Valve that can be used to turn off or regulate the water flow.

The Turgo Wheel is made of aluminum and poly carbonate plastic. We have had similar 120 and 240 VAC systems in the filed for over 10 years. We sell spare Turgo Wheels and Nozzles that can be used as service parts.

Some test results: One gallon per second (60 gallons per minute), and a height of 36 feet, is 200 watts output. A flow of 45 gallons per minute, and a height of 25 feet, is 100 watts.

More Head Height and Flow will provide more power, up to 600 watts continuous. For 24 v systems, it is twice the speed and power. International customers may need to pay VAT and Duty when the goods arrive.
