The Relion RB100 to be the best 100AH Lithium battery out there now and we've worked with it all. Great value for performance and quality. Good support because the company is in USA, this is a must. Last 4 to 10 times as long. 1/4 to 1/10 overall cost. Lead acid batteries are a huge heavy pain and are easy to ruin. Lead Acid Batteries can only be discharged to 50% of capacity, if you go below that, damage occurs.

That means with Lead Acid, when you pay for 200 Amp Hours (AH), you only get 100 AH if you're lucky. (Lead Acid capacity is particularly low performing when you have a high discharge rate and need to pull a lot of power out fast). With Lithium, if it says 100 AH, you should get 100 AH.

The energy retention of Lithium is about double, so half the price again. If you put 100 AH into lead acid you get about 50AH back out, Lithium is closer to 100AH. That means about 1/2 the battery cost again, or double the effectiveness of the solar system, or half the size of your solar system. This economic comparison is for Flooded Lead Acid, if you need sealed batteries, they are automatically twice the price, with very little performance increase, so double the advantage for Lithium again. WE TRY HARD TO TALK PEOPLE OUT OF SEALED LEAD ACID (AGM AND GEL).

THEY ARE THE WORST BANG FOR THE BUCK IN THE BATTERY WORLD RIGHT NOW. A LOW PERFORMING AND EXPENSIVE OPTION. That's just the economics, the performance is not even close. Lithium can push lots of power for a long time, lead acid can't even come close. Lithium charges about twice as fast. Lead acids 3 charging stages are sooooo slooooooow. The discharge rate to weight ratio of Lithium is about 15 times better than Lead Acid. If you want a toaster, coffee pot, electric hot water, electric stove, microwave, table saw, welder, vacuum, hair drier, rice cooker, oven or a million other things that take a ton of power, you can really only do it with Lithium.

Other significant advantages of Lithium are. Lithium batteries are sealed and do not off gas toxic fumes like Lead Acid so they can go inside. Lead Acid Batteries have a VERY hard time running big things effectively. If you need to run over 1000 Watts, you're going to need hundreds of pounds of battery.

If you want to run 3000W, it's more like thousands of pounds. You can do it with 60 pounds of Lithium. You can mount them in any orientation. No Acid corrosion on your terminals.

The integrated Battery Management System is a computer that prevents you from ruining your batteries discharging too much (leave your lights on overnight with lead acid batteries and you can seriously damage them, we've all done it).
