The RV converter battery charger that we've all been waiting for. The latest series of Powermax converters have received a couple upgraded features. Let's get right to the nuts and bolts of this thing. This AC to DC converter features smart charging mode OR a variable fixed output voltage that can be set from 13vdc up to 15.5vdc. Your charger can now pull double duty and act as DC power supply for your workbench or other DC application that requires a substantial amount of amperage.
Simply flip the switch from charge mode to fixed output mode and dial in your voltage. Speaking of easy, the deck mount design of this unit allows you to mount it in many different applications. Hooking up the unit couldn't be any easier either.Simply loosen 2 set screws, insert your positive and negative wires and tighten the set screws. A minimum of 8ga conductor battery cable is recommmended. (6ga or 4ga for longer runs). As for performance, in house testing confirms that this unit consistently produces its rated output amperage. Other features include: -Internal thermally controlled fan (only comes on when unit is warm).
