There are several ways the heating mat may be cut and turned to fit around corners and avoid obstacles such as fixtures and built-ins on the floor. Heating wires must never touch or cross. Heating wire cannot be cut or shortened. Heating wires must never be closer than 2 &#######xBD; inches apart. The mesh between the wires may be cut but take great care not to cut or nick the wire itself.

Wire may also be removed from the mesh and laid out on the floor. Secure in position with pieces of 1&#####x201D; wide duct tape, or hotmelt glue.

LuxHeat's Radiant Floor Heating Mat is one of the most robust, versatile, easy to install floor heating systems available on the market today. The resin coated fibreglass re-enforcing mesh is designed to protect the heating cable and add strength to the layer of thinset or mortar. The re-enforcing mesh can be cut, turned, flipped, or in part removed, to accommodate any room size or shape. While the MESH can be cut, the heater wire MUST NOT be cut or shortened.

Elements are ETFE insulated and covered by a tough outer jacket, providing the ultimate dialectic and mechanical strength. Heater wire is less than 5/32 thick, ensuring minimal effect to finished floor height.

Heater wires are pre-spaced at 3&#####x201D; intervals &#####x2013; providing optimal heat distribution. Mats are 20&#####x201D; wide, and available in various lengths. The Floor Sensor is a reliable and accurate temperature sensing probe designed to measure floor temperatures when connected to a thermostat. OJ Thermostats&#####x2019; default setting is Dual Sensing (Air/Floor), meaning the floor sensor will need to be installed and connected. The thermostat can be set to measure AIR only, but for optimal control and comfort we recommend installing the floor sensor and using the thermostats default &#####x2018;Dual Sensor&#####x2019; setting.

Installs directly between heating wires for accurate temperature readings. Used in conjunction with Thermostat to limit floor temperature. Resistance: 8 to 12 K OHM measures 68&######x2DA;F to 86&######x2DA;F (20&######x2DA;C to 30&######x2DA;C).

Neutral polarity making for simple connections. 15ft length allows for optimal placement. Sensor type: NTC 10 K OHM.
